JJ and Zach Round Two

I headed down to JJ and Zach's open house to help out and show off my bridesmaid dress again. I realized after the wedding that I did not get a picture of the bride and groom. I had tons of pics of JJ, but I left off Zach. Oops! Here is the happy couple.

I got to see little Addy, and boy does she love her Grandma Bobby.

Craig and Susan drove out and the three of us stayed with Rich and Julie and Isabella. It was so fun to hang out with them. Julie and Rich are great hosts!

So fun to see my cousin Tracy. She told me that she is a little tired of being pregnant, but I am sure that little Addy will love being a big sister.

I was so glad to get to chat with my Uncle Bob and Aunt Bobby. I have missed them since they moved down south.

Here is little Isabella grooving to the wedding dance music.

Kicking back at JJ and Zach's after the big party. We were going to open gifts, but Alexander was asleep and we could not take away his fun of opening up all the big boxes.
I loved spending the weekend at the party. Family and food. What else could I want?

Movin' on Up!

I've packed up, scrubbed, carried, unpacked, and shoved things into the closets. If I had remembered how terrible it is to move, I would still be in the old place! I had tons of help from wonderful friends and family - to make it all bearable.

I have never lived so high off the ground before. It feels like I am towering above the city!

The views are great - and I keep waking up to this beautiful sunrise.

It almost looks like a really apartment - if I could only get the pictures on the wall and all of the stuff organized.

I thought it looked just fine like this, but Mom said I had to actually unpack.

Bob's doughnuts - a little treat for the moving crew. If only I could think of a reason to get more of Bob's treats.

A Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Hillary and Roger invited me along to the pumpkin patch down in Half Moon Bay. It was an adorable place and we had a great time. I love going to the pumpkin patch, and I look a little silly going by myself, so I really appreciated the invite.

Sarah and I picked great pumpkins. We went for the baby pumpkins. So cute!

The place was decorated so cute! Most pumpkin patches you go to are out in the fields and they have tons of room. As you could guess, Half Moon Bay did not have tons of extra space. So it was very compact, but they had it all ponies, bouncy house, train, haunted house, treats, and so many decorations. It was a great fall day - crisp air crunchy leaves. I even wore my cowboy boots, which somehow feel like fall to me.

Pumpkins pumpkins everywhere!

Sarah and I in the giant pumpkin - has a very Cinderella felling. That fits as Sarah and I read Cinderella all the time. She calls it Cinnybella. :)

Waving bye bye to the train. Sarah really wanted more train, more ponies, more of that place (meaning the pumpkin patch when we were leaving). You can never get enough of the fun when you are 2 (or 39).
Thanks for a very fun trip. I loved it! I talked to Anna on Saturday and told her I had been and gotten a pumpkin, but she reminded me that I would get to go again to the pumpkin patch with her at Halloween. Glad I had a warm-up trip.

Guess What I am going to be for Halloween

A few years ago I decided that I should have a halloween costume - just in case I needed one. I make a red cape with a great big hood. Clearly - little red ridding hood.

As you can see here, I have put this costume to good use. This was the Halloween that I moved back to California. We are the entire Little Red Ridding Hood Story. I am pleased to report that we had fun and even got an award.

Well this year, I let my sister Cathy borrow the cape thinking I would not need a costume. On a complete whim and due to a very good price on a plane ticket, Mom and I are off to Cathy's house for Halloween. We could not resist trick or treating with a 4 year old. The trouble is...I am clearly in need of a costume!

Not to be daunted, I dug through my craft buckets and found an old pattern and fabric and put together this little number. Not bad eh?

Rub a Dub Dub

There are few things in this world that I am all that worked up about. I have some things that I like, but I know I can live without them if I need to. However, I have to admit that I really do love Grandpa Heber's boat. Mom and Dad's boat was thus dubbed my my niece Anna. There are few activities that I enjoy more than sitting on the front of that boat while Dad drives up and down the lake. There are few things more relaxing, and very few things that provoke so many family memories. Life at the lake it always good.

After my last boat trip of the season this week, I joined Mom and Dad in scrubbing down and cleaning out the boat. It is surprising how scrub scrub scrubbing can wear on your muscles so much. The boat is nice and clean now, and ready to rest for the winter....unless Mom can talk Dad into one more trip.

It's Breakfast with the Brethren Time

I am at home with Mom and Dad for the weekend to watch conference. I woke up to the smell of homemade banana bread. Yeah! It is breakfast with the brethren. After a very yummy breakfast I have snuggled down in the couch in my favorite sweatshirt, and now I am ready to listen to the brethren. Enjoy!
