Daddy Daughter Dance

Tonight is the Daddy Daughter Dance at school. Elise has been so excited about this for days! She remembers it and her whole body tenses up and she shakes and squeals - I am so excited!

They get roses at the door, "finger food" (which I thinks translates into - that white sweater is not going to be so white when they get home food), games, dances, and pictures. Good thing we get professional pictures since ours did not turn out so great.  Do you like Renato's grin?


I got home from work and they both asked where their new dresses were. Did I miss something here? They did each get a new Sunday sweater and that appeased them. Although I can believe how tall Audrey is getting!  We got that dress in the fall and she is already getting too tall!  She told her dad - you dance with Elise first, 'cause I need to hang out with my friends for a while.  We are glad she is still going to let him come.  :)


Elise let me do her hair, but she got to instruct me. I tried to do the half up and half down thing - but she said all up or nothing! I got her ponytail up high and fluffed it up and hair sprayed it. But when she looked at it, she thought I had it too messy and combed it out. Don't tell me she does not have an opinion!

I love Elise's tights.  And I love that she will wear them.  I bet by next year she won't let me get crazy tights for her.



They each wanted a picture alone with Dad too. (Doesn't my entry way look a little drab compared to the red wall in the living room?)


Well, they are off and Drew and I are at home. He is playing wii. If I ask him if he is going to entertain me - he turns and says - I love you Cyndi and then goes back to killing the bad guys with James Bond.

Band Concert!

Well our pictures were not too good, but Audrey was fantastic. She plays the trumpet in her 6th grade band class, and this was a concert with all of the grade schools put together and playing a song together. They had had just one day practice all together, and I was really impressed.


She loved to perform. They middle school also played and the high school, and then EVERYONE played a song together. That was pretty impressive.


We love to see Audrey succeed!

More Straight A's!

The day after Elise's award's ceremony it was time to head back over to see Audrey get her award. Straight A's for Audrey in the 2nd quarter. That moved her from High Honor Roll to Principal's Honor Roll. Way to go Audrey!


This time it was not a surprise. Audrey called the night before to make sure Dad could come. He said he would do his best but was not sure about where his job site would be. She said if he could not make it them to tell Cyndi. Glad I could bat clean up. :)


Drew even came over at the end and was able to see Audrey get her award. It was fun to see her so happy.

We should also note that Drew got all A's this quarter too. He did not get an award. :)

Since all three school kids got straight A's we are going to celebrate this weekend. I think we have a Cal Skate event in our future!
